Hood River Valley’s hard cider scene is exploding. These craft cider makers source the apples, pears and other fruits from the 440+ local orchardists, creating ciders that truly give you a taste of Hood River, and place the region at the forefront of the new national hard cider movement.
The Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest gives seasoned and novice cider drinkers alike the chance to sample cider from Hood River County’s very own cider makers, as well as a variety of additional Northwest cideries. More than twenty-five cideries will be participating, with more than 50 ciders on tap.

Cider Rite of Spring is a celebration of the blossoming Northwest Cider industry— an annual cider tasting event welcoming the return of spring, featuring over 100 unique ciders served by 35 different cidermakers and cidery representatives only from the PNW.
The Rite of Spring will be bigger than ever in our new location and include a special VIP hour from 12-1 plus a unique VIP lounge sponsored by Square Mile Cider throughout the day. Cider Rite of Spring showcases ciders that are either made for the event, aren’t available locally, or are limited run. The event provides attendees the chance to taste ciders they wouldn't normally be able to access. This year’s participating cidermakers include 12 Bridge Ciderworks, 1859 Cider Co., 2 Towns Ciderhouse, 7Bev Corp., Alter Ego Cider, Bad Granny, Bandon Rain, Bauman's Cider, Dragon's Head Cider, Finnriver Farm & Cidery, Locust Cider, McMenamins Edgefield, New West Cider, Oregon Mead & Cider Co., Pear UP, Portland Cider Co., Red Tank Cider Co., Reveille Ciderworks, Runcible Cider Co., Seattle Cider Co., Spire Mountain Ciders/Fish Brewing, Square Mile Cider, Snowdrift Cider, Steelhead Cider, Stone Circle Cider, Swift, Tumalo Cider Co., Wildcraft Cider, and Woodbox Cider. Each cidermaker brings two to three ciders apiece.
General admission tickets includes a commemorative tasting glass and eight drink tickets, and cost $30. We all need a little balance in our lives. Get yours at our awesome yoga and cider event with husband and wife duo, Michael Thierfelder, Woodbox Cider owner and Aylee McFadden, L.Ac., RYT. We’ll begin the evening with a light-hearted, hour-long, all-levels vinyasa flow class to get our bodies moving. After class we’ll enjoy cider tastings and the choice of a 12 oz pour of Woodbox’s signature dry cider.
Come and join McMenamins and 18 other cider producers for the second annual Wassail Cider Fest at CPR! We'll have live music from Falcon Heart, entertainment and general merriment, and for those 21 and older, 35 ciders to taste. Join in a parade to the orchard for a “toast” to a bountiful cider harvest, and enjoy cider into the evening in the historic octagonal barn. Admission to the event is free and all ages are welcome. Wassail costumes are encouraged! A commemorative tasting glass and tasting tokens can be purchased online or at the event; must be 21.

Now in its fourth year, this family-friendly festival celebrates Hood River Valley’s booming hard cider scene, giving seasoned and novice cider drinkers alike the chance to sample cider from the Northwest’s top cideries. More than 25 cideries will be participating, with more than 50 ciders on tap.
To accompany the ciders, festival-goers can dig into offerings from the area’s vibrant food scene, including Apple Valley BBQ, Leah’s Lunch, and Solstice Wood Fire Café.
